Daily Southeast Region Eggs
Prices are 6 to 8 cents lower for Extra Large, down 8 to 8.5 cents for
Large and 7 cents lower for Medium. The undertone is lower. Offerings
and supplies vary by location and are moderate to instances heavy for
needs to start the week. Demand into the retail channel is moderate to
fairly good. Distributive demand remains light to moderate at best.
Market activity is moderate to slow. In the Eastern region, breaking
stock offerings are moderate to at times heavy for the moderate demand.
Spent fowl offerings are sufficient to heavy; processing schedules
return to normal following the holiday.
